We had the best time wearing hats all around campus today! It's so fun to see all of the different personalities of our students as they dress for spirit days. NMS is a great school because of all of the unique & different characteristics of our students ❤️⭐️💙







Math classes across the building have worked diligently & collaboratively to explore our new curriculum and tackle these first weeks of classes. Our students shine brightly with their ambitious attitudes and problem-solving mindsets. Stars make the best mathematicians ❤️⭐️💙

SHOUT OUT to the Thorson family for donating new benches for our girls' soccer, boys' soccer, and track teams. These benches are used by students, by the community, and by our teams. We are so grateful for our community partners & their commitment to making NMS great! ❤️⭐️💙

This past Friday, we completed the second part of the Sandy Hook Promise program "Start with Hello". Students promised to spread kindness, build & foster relationships throughout the building, and encourage one another. These kids are incredible & shine brightly ❤️⭐️💙


Our eighth grade science STARS have been hard a work differentiating variables and conducting investigations to prove fields exist between objects and can exert forces without touching. What an amazing group of aspiring scientists we have here at NMS 💖⭐💙

Stars on the Weekend... student, Max Armstrong, went fishing on Ft. Loudon Lake with his grandfather & impressed us with his "Catch of the Day"! We love showcasing our students and their personal victories ❤️⭐️💙

We are excited to get NMS Vols started with our first snack cart on Friday, August 25th. Take a look at the Amazon list and see if there is anything you wish to supply for our snack cart. All items are shipped to the school! First teacher luncheon will be a Oct. 6 ❤️⭐️💙


CTE worked in class to analyze plant cells utilizing our microscopes. Students were engaged & making connections to TN Science Standards. Mrs. Young has focused her CTE course to reinforce plant science content. Way to go Stars! ❤️⭐️💙






5th grade science was the place to be with this engaging activity! The students were collaborating, thinking outside the box to make connections between unfamiliar & seemingly unrelated terms, and enjoying every minute of their morning at NMS! This is our goal everyday ❤️⭐️💙


Star shout-out to Dakota Wiggins, STEM student, for learning the drone equipment & technology. He took some pretty awesome pictures of the school from the drone & will continue to work with us to update our school photos. We are so proud of him ❤️⭐️💙 Growing our own!
