STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and math. It can refer to the individual subjects, or a way of learning that combines them. STEM can also be a way of thinking that involves asking questions, solving problems, and exploring the world. In Mr. Breedlove’s class, students learn how to make things out of 3D print, learn how to fly drones, and learn how to take care of animals at the school farm, such as pigs, goats, and chickens. In the class pictured, students are in groups of four with anyone they choose to do things around the STEM room with. Most students love going to the farm to see the animals, especially Wilbur, which is the school pig. While outside, students also go to the track and fly drones. Others like making their own designs using wood and the laser engraver system. STEM is a fun class that also teaches you about being successful and trying new things.
