Hello,

My name is Austin Rider, and I am the band director and general music teacher at North Middle School. This is my first year in public education. However, I have been helping various East Tennessee high school drumlines and band programs since the Fall of 2016. 

 

I graduated from Tennessee Technological University in May of 2021 with a Bachelors of Music degree in K-12 Instrumental Music Education. During my collegiate career at Tennessee Tech, I did my student teaching at Loudon High School, located right in the heart of Loudon County. In May of 2016, I graduated from Sequoyah High School in Madisonville, TN. I was locally born and raised in neighboring Monroe County.
