My name is Amy Stridde and I am one of the school social workers serving in Loudon County Schools. I am very grateful to be a part of this wonderful community! My office is located at North Middle School, but I serve a few other nearby schools in the district as well.
I was born and raised in Knoxville, TN. I earned my bachelor’s degrees in Child & Family Studies and Psychology at the University of Tennessee. From there, I went on to earn my master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. Since then, I have become a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW). I have had the opportunity to work with non-profit organizations to promote community mentoring relationships for youth in Knoxville. I have also been able to provide therapy services in an outpatient and school-based setting for children, adolescents, and families in Knoxville.
These days, my heart is geared toward caring for students and their families in this school system. In this role, I am passionate about viewing each student or family as individuals existing in the context of their environment. I seek to work alongside students, their parents, and school staff to offer individualized mental health support right here in the school setting. I will work diligently to create a space where students feel safe, loved, known, and supported.
Outside of school, chances are that you will find me soaking up time with family and friends. If not, I'm probably trying out new recipes in the kitchen, playing pickleball, going for a walk, or reading somewhere cozy.
Please reach out with any questions or concerns you would like to discuss. I look forward to hearing from you!
