3rd, 4th & 5th Grade Basketball Try-outs

Our fifth grade basketball players are combining with Highland Park this year! All HPES and NMS students in third, fourth and fifth grade are welcome to try out for these teams. ALL try-outs will be held in the Highland Park Elementary School gym. All students will need to bring their own water bottles and have their temperatures checked upon arrival; no parents will be allowed in the building during try-outs and will need to remain in their cars.

Girls 5th grade try-outs will be on Saturday, September 26 at 10:00, and girls 3rd and 4th grade try-outs will be on Saturday, September 26 at 11:00.

Boys 3rd and 4th grade try-outs will be on Sunday, September 27 at 2:00, and 5th grade boys try-outs will be on Sunday, September 27 at 3:00.

NMS Boys Basketball Try-Outs

NMS boys basketball try-outs will take place on September 28 and September 29 in the upper gym. 7th and 8th grade try-outs will be from 5:15-6:45, and 6th grade try-outs will be from 6:45-8:00. You must have a physical dated after April 15, 2020 to try out. If you do not have a physical on file with our athletic department, you may bring it to the first day of try-outs. NMS Girls Basketball Try-Outs

All 6-8 grade girls wishing to join the NMS girls basketball team need to plan to attend try-outs on September 28 and 29 after school until 5:15. To try out, you must have a physical dated April 15, 2020 or later. If your physical is not already on file with the NMS athletic department, you may bring it with you to try outs. You must bring your own water bottle, and temperature checks will be conducted before starting. If you have questions, contact Coach Carney at carneym@loudoncounty.org.

NMS Cheer Try-Outs

There will be a mandatory parent/guardian and student interest meeting for any student in grades 6-8 who are interested in trying out for this year's NMS Cheer Squad on Monday, September 21 from 4-4:30 in the upper gym. All attendees will be screened for their temperature prior to entering the building and will also be required to wear a mask per TMSSA requirements. Seating will be distanced on the bleachers. All students must have a physical dated for this year prior to the first day of try-outs. The first day of try-outs will be held on Thursday, October 1 from 3:30-5 pm. This day will be a try-out camp to learn routines and practice. Try-outs will then take place virtually. All information for try-outs and requirements for the season will be discussed at the meeting on September 21. We are excited to welcome Coach Wilson! Picture Day: September 18

Picture day will take place on Friday, September 18th for all students. Envelopes with order information were sent home on Friday, September 4th. If you have a virtual student that you would like to have pictures made for, please plan to bring them at the virtual grade level time listed below. Parents will drop their virtual student off at the office to enter for pictures. All students must have their temperature taken upon entry. No parents or guests will be allowed into the building. Once the students have finished with their pictures, they will return out to their waiting parent.

Our school will be using McEachern Photographers this year. Free Breakfast and Lunch for all Loudon County Students

Loudon County Schools will be participating in a program offered by USDA that will allow us to feed all students free. This will be available through the first semester unless USDA funds are depleted prior to that date. Families are not required to complete any paperwork.

7th Grade Vaccination Records
