Veterans Day Parade

On Friday, November 11, 2022. North Middle School and Eaton Elementary School will host our annual Veterans Day Parade! We invite all veterans and active military personnel among our NMS community to join the parade: cars will stage at 9:30 at Central United Methodist Church next door, and at 10:00 veterans and military personnel in our community will drive through the NMS and EES parking lots as students line the parade route. It is a very special day at NMS as our entire student body gets to cheer on their friends and family members who have served our country. Afterwards, our student will watch a video presentation in their homeroom classes to educate them about Veterans Day and honor our community; the keynote speaker of this year’s presentation will be our very own Mr. Hill, who served in the United States Marines. We are so honored to have him! We will post the video to Facebook on November 11 so our community can also be part of our celebration of this important day!

Dismissal Change

The Loudon County Board of Education continually works with all our city and county first responders to evaluate safety protocols at our schools as we strive to provide the safest environment for our students. As part of many other strategies to improve safety on campuses, the Board of Education has voted to limit parent dismissal parking in line or parking spaces on campus to 30 minutes prior to dismissal. This new protocol will begin the Monday immediately following Fall Break. We appreciate your cooperation in not parking in traffic lines until 30 minutes prior to dismissal each day. North Middle parents and guardians may begin lining up at 2:30 for our 3:00 dismissal. Our normal traffic routes and dismissal flow will remain unchanged. If you need to come pick-up your child early, you can still do so. Parents are still welcome to participate in all the wonderful events that take place at North Middle School. We appreciate your help in our continual effort to improve our campus safety.
